The upcoming G20 summit will be held in London on April 2, and according to The Moscow Times, that's when the Kremlin is supposedly going to to join the One World Paper Talk, to pitch a supranational reserve currency to be issued by ~~international~~ private institutions as part of a reform (change:) of the global financial system.

"The International Monetary Fund should investigate the possible creation of a new reserve currency, widening the list of reserve currencies or using its already existing Special Drawing Rights, or SDRs, as a "superreserve currency accepted by the whole of the international community," the Kremlin said in a statement issued on its web site.

The SDR is an international reserve asset, created by the IMF in 1969 to supplement the existing official reserves of member countries.

The Kremlin also called for national banks and international financial institutions to diversify their foreign currency reserves. It said the global financial system should be restructured to prevent future crises and proposed holding an international conference after the G20 summit to adopt conventions on a new global financial structure. The Kremlin ain't fond of the dollar and has lowered its own dollar holdings in the last few years. Both President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin have repeatedly called for the ruble to be used as a regional reserve currency, although the idea has received little support outside of Russia.

I have a real problem with the idea that “They” have engineered things so that all of the wealth and power will wind up in the hands of the usual bunch of trilateralists /zionists /masters-of-the-universe/Goldman Sachs Directors, etc. In fact, much of the West’s wealth is simply going to vanish -- just as it has begun to do with the demise of Bear Stearns and other financial behemoths. The bondholders have been spared so far, mostly at taxpayers’ and shareholders’ expense, but I’m not so sure there’ll be much of a carcass left for the supposed cabal to feast on when the K-wave deflationary trough bottoms in perhaps another 6-8 years.

By then, the real wealth of the world will have shifted – organically – to Asia and the oil producers. And while they may revere gold in those places, I doubt they will feel compelled to tie their money to it. They won’t have to, since their currencies will be strong without the artificially induced buoyancy of global reserve status the dollar has enjoyed. Also, there will be no financial powerhouses in the world that emerges from the Second Great Depression, only economic powerhouses. Their thinking is that American's were stupid for indulging in the first place, as if the baiting never took place.

Companies are definitely going to go for the Amero. Most American technology companies (the richest companies in the nation now) are already using low wage foreign workers. What they can't automate, they are going to look to pay the lowest price possible. [...] People need to wake up and smell the coffee. We now know without doubt that Bush wants us to submerge our sovereignty with Canada and Mexico and that the resulting political, economic and monetary union will require some significant re-alignment in the values of the three currencies currently in existence. Now, no three separate countries have identical economies, so 'harmonization' (nice sounding word for something very unpleasant)in the values of the US and Canadian dollar with the Mexican Peso is something we WILL see starting to occur if we ARE heading down the road to such a full-blown marriage.

How do we know this? From the recent experience of our friends in Europe, of course! The same forces are in the driving seat there as well as here. The bulk of European countries since 2001 have adopted the Euro, which is a complex composite of the various former currencies of those participating countries. In order for them all to be assimilated into one unitary currency, Europe had to go through a lengthy period of economic convergence - as we shall have to here, too, for the plan to work across north America.

It'll be a simpler matter here, though. Only 3 economies to converge rather than over 20 as was the case of Europe. It can be achieved very much more quickly. It is Mexico's Peso that is the main problem for Bush & Co.

Americans are catching on to the North American Union scheme and voicing their opposition. The right wing grassroots organization, American Policy Center (APC), has just concluded a survey of one million American households. The survey, titled "Do Americans Support a North American Union", [...] questions were:

1. Have you heard of the Security and Prosperity Partnership? 58 % of those responding said they did Not know about the SPP.

2. Do you think private corporations should have the power to enforce trade policy that may adversely affect our national sovereignty and independence? This question related directly to the establishment of public/private partnerships between private corporations and government, granting no-compete clauses and comprehensive development agreements which provide guarantees by government to the corporations as investment returns. The TTC is not a free enterprise, but is government sanctioned monopolies. As this question was explained by the APC, 95% of respondents Opposed such policy.

3. Chapter 11 of the NAFTA agreement states that disputes over NAFTA-related issues will be heard in NAFTA courts superseding U.S. local, state and federal courts, including the Supreme Court. Question three asked, Do you think this would be a threat to U.S. sovereignty? 91% of respondents said Yes.

10. Respondents were asked to provide comments and thoughts on the SPP. The word most often used was "treason". Another said, "I want no part of the social health care of Canada and I do not want to incorporate Mexico's turmoil and poverty into our United States.". Many others said, "I want secure borders, not easy traffic between the U.S., Canada and Mexico. And another bluntly said, "Bush's actions formulate a horrifying destruction of our proud nation". Many others used even stronger language. Once Americans learn about the SPP, they are clearly opposed.

In the face of this overwhelming opposition, on April 21-22, in yet another closed door meeting in New Orleans, President Bush and heads of state from Mexico and Canada continued to deny the SPP is anything more than a "dialogue" among the three nations.

Consider the agenda of our government in 2008. Why would Americans want to merge with Mexico and Canada? I can see a reason why we might want to "conquer" them, but to merge with them? No, yet it is being done right now, this minute. Americans don't want the "amero" as our new dollar and we don't want open borders. [...] We want an honest government with leaders who actually have integrity and qualities we have come to expect from Americans. Sadly, we have very little of this maybe five in the whole country. Grubel of the Fraser institute wrote a paper entitled, "The Case for the Amero," presenting the first arguments in print that a North American currency should be created on the model of the euro in the European Union as a replacement for the U.S. dollar, the Canadian dollar and the Mexican peso.

I get a lot of emails from various investment newsletters. I recently got one from Investment U that was written by Louis Basenese titled The End Of The Weak Dollar. In his article Louis had 10 reasons why the USD is headed higher, not lower like many people believe.

4. Warren Buffet, Jim Rogers and Bill Gross… Louis claims that these three legends can be wrong about the USD.
My Take: Duh. They aren’t gods. Just because they CAN be wrong doesn’t mean they ARE. Time will tell.

5. Pop Culture… Even in our pop culture there are now examples of people hating the dollar. Since pop culture hates the dollar, it must be near the end of its fall.
My Take: Just because pop culture is now paying attention to the falling dollar doesn’t mean it will now stop falling. The fundamentals will decide…

7. The Amero… Louis goes on to explain that the Amero is a really bad idea and will NEVER happen because the U.S. will never want to give up control over their macroeconomic situation - besides which, it is nothing but a conspiracy theory.
My Take: The Amero is a really bad idea (I agree!). But, since the U.S. is so much larger than Mexico and Canada combined in both population and economics, the U.S. wouldn’t relinquish control but instead gain control over both Canada and Mexico. The Euro was a different situation since no one country controls a majority, but if the Amero were to occur the U.S. would be the majority and therefore have more power than Canada and Mexico.
The resources that Canada offer would also help bring stability to the currency by taking into account all those assets in the ground (ie, the assets backing the promissory note (which fiat currencies are) would be strengthened). If (a big IF) the USD was to crash or fall significantly, do you not think the U.S. government would try and come out with a new Amero currency? It would be more stable and better compete with the Euro… that said, I think it is such a bad idea for resource rich Canada. We would be giving up control over our fortunes… and yes, we are a VERY rich country. Our oil reserves are now 2nd in the world (and still climbing as we discover more!) and we have plenty of farm land and other natural resources contained within our vast borders. We are currently in SURPLUS territory for our government budgets and our economy is growing rapidly (in the resource sectors - perhaps not the manufacturing sectors - but that is a problem with labour and competing with the wage slaves in China that aren’t paid well.). Let’s hope this Amero never happens and that it is just a stupid conspiracy theory (though I have my doubts about whether its just a theory and that it might be a plan for the future).

My Take: It helps somebody because there are two parties to every transaction and somebody will be the winner and somebody will be the loser.

After nearly 20 years of full time research into the true workings of the world, the last few weeks have been real head-shakers for me. Talk about watching a movie.

And it's not even a new movie - just a remake of endless of its kind over hundreds of years. They were once in silent black and white and now in full-blown computer-enhanced digital colour. The movie is called 'The Banking Crisis' and among its many sequels and spin-offs are 'The Recession', 'The Slump', 'The Crash', and, in it's latest version, 'The Credit Crunch'.

All of them star the insider actors and actresses from the same elite families and all have but one prime objective: human control. Everything else is decoration, diversion and camouflage.

I'll summarise first what I have been saying since the early 1990s about the 'economic cycle' of 'boom and bust' and then have a look at what is happening today from that perspective. [...] When one gets a complete grasp of the picture, the tragic absurdity of our hopeless position is almost incredible, but there it is. It is the most important subject intelligent persons can investigate and reflect upon. It is so important that our present civilisation may collapse, unless it becomes widely understood and the defects remedied very soon.'

This means that there comes a moment when there is simply not enough money in circulation for everyone to pay back their outstanding 'loans'. Suffering and homelessness are built into the system.

Other aspects of this same agenda include: The crashing of the US dollar to prepare for its replacement by a 'North American Union' currency (working title at least, the Amero) which would become the currency of the United States, Canada and Mexico with plans to extend it to the whole of the Americas.

Lou sounds downright blasé, though, compared to all the online ranting and raving on this subject. The video "North American Union and Vchip Truth" cranks things up another notch. Viewed more than 4.8 million times, it presents the SPP as a big step towards a single world government, with David Rockefeller preventing any resistance by implanting us all with Vchips. We can only hope this is satire, but the 10,000 comments by Youtubers suggest that many viewers aren't getting the joke. All this would be simply entertaining if it weren't for the fact that the SPP truly is a dangerous initiative -- but not for the reasons cited by the xenophobes.

Anybody Here Seen My Old Friend Ron Paul?

Not too long ago in the course of this rEVOLution, there were concerns expressed for the personal safety of Dr. Ron Paul. Apparently, many people shared those concerns, and friends in the movement have expressed them to me personally.

This is likely because in days past, all too often during my own lifetime, promising leaders have been "taken out" as a pragmatic response by the "powers that be" to the threat they were beginning to pose towards the status quo.

Of course, in almost all cases it was a "lone gunman" or some "unbalanced individual" at fault, with no conclusive way to trace those who ordered the "hit." Several incidents spring to mind: John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert, Martin Luther King, and near-martyr Ronald Regan, whose leadership after the Hinkley bullet never seemed quite the same.

Nevertheless, the shadowy powers behind the throne may have now learned they don't need more martyrs to deal with. Those who die in pursuit of a noble cause have often "come back," metaphorically speaking, larger than life, and the memory and legends engendered become even more effective than the living, breathing original was.

Ron Paul, thank God, has not suffered the fate of a martyr. Will we his followers, who have been inspired by his leadership and his rallying call for freedom, let this movement die a natural death? Will we sit back and let the globalist shadow government win by default? Even now they seem to be moving full steam ahead towards a North American Union and an Amero currency.

Has this generation finally become so mesmerized by "The Tube" that we'll just go back to sleep and let our country slip away without a fight?

P.S. It is important to note that the Austrian theory does not imply, as some have interpreted it, that we are witnessing the results of "overinvestment." Austrians do not contend that the Fed really has put more gas in our car! Since the Fed produces no capital goods, this obviously could not be the case. Amero 101: Benefits and Drawbacks

There’s still room for speculation that an Amero currency could be in the works -- benefits and drawbacks:

Save on currency transactions: Dr. Herbert Grubel estimates that Canada alone would save $3 billion from the Amero’s implementation.

Printing inflation would be more difficult: There is large criticism of the Federal Reserve’s practice of printing dollars to pay debts and obligations, which causes the dollar to lose value. With a monetary union, the US would, one assumes, be held accountable by Mexico and Canada, and less free to continue this sort of practice.

Transition risks: The worldwide transition from the dollar to Amero could risk the dollar/Amero’s status as a global currency, which may cause foreign investors to shift to the more established euro and yen.

Same problems: The amero largely does not address problems that currently exist with the dollar, like trade deficits, government debt, and status as a fiat currency.

Shared seignorage: The US currently collects net revenue from issuing the dollar, but with the Amero, any revenues would likely be shared with Canada and Mexico.

Dollar fall: The Canadian and US dollars are worth considerably more than Mexico’s troubled peso. A merging of the three currencies could result in a fall of both dollars to meet the peso.

The myth has also been central to Ron Paul's message-he has even introduced the issue before national audiences at presidential debates. It has resonated with millions of Americans because it preys on their nativistic prejudices and (often legitimate) concerns about globalization.

To be fair, the NAU theory (like any good conspiracy theory) has some basis in fact. The facts have been so distorted by the paranoiac fringe, however, that the NAU theory bears little resemblance to reality.

There is a substantial road in the works. In 2002, Republican Gov. Rick Perry of Texas unveiled a proposal for the "Trans-Texas Corridor." The road, while highly unpopular with some Texans, was approved by the state legislature and the governor. But it is a state initiative, not a covert and concerted effort to build a "NAFTA Superhighway." [...]

What about the "amero," the rumored currency of the NAU? Some political scientists have entertained the idea, but there is currently no evidence the federal government plans to ditch the dollar. Absent a constitutional amendment, the "amero" isn't remotely possible. Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress the power "to coin money, regulate the value thereof … and fix the standard of weights and measure. [...] So this conspiracy theory is bunk. But don't take this liberal's word for it. The NAU theory has come under heavy friendly fire, too.

Jed Babbin, editor of the conservative newspaper Human Events, for which Corsi writes, compared people who believe in an impending NAU to those who believe in Bigfoot.

Michael Medved, a far-right talk show host, has called the theory "ludicrous," "childish," "ill-informed," "manipulative" and "brain dead."

Charles Krauthammer, a prominent conservative thinker and writer, said, "I love (the NAU theory) because if you ever doubt your own sanity, all you have to do is read this stuff and realize that you're OK."

And if your theory is too crazy for Krauthammer, then perhaps it's time you do doubt your own sanity.

Could the governments of North America be conspiring to turn the continent into one united country? A group of protesters scouring Pitt Street Saturday believe it's only a matter of time before Canada loses it sovereignty to a super-powered government made of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Dwight Dugas and several other Cornwall residents started their call to action against the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) outside the constituency office of MP Guy Lauzon, much the way they say similar grassroots groups did in 18 other Canadian cities Saturday.

According to the Government of Canada website, the SPP is "a commitment" by all three countries "to work together to build a safer and more economically dynamic North America" that focuses on the areas of cross-border transportation, security, economic prosperity, environmental protection and public health.
[...] The group's principal concern is the alleged creation of a universal currency to be used across all three countries known as the "Amero," a concept discussed by Professor of Economics Herbert Grubel of Simon Fraser University in his 1999 book.

"The SPP is a threat to our country and our way of life," Dugas said. "If we give up our currency, we give up our sovereignty. Whoever controls the money in a country has the power."

The SPP mandate claims to respect the sovereignty of each country, which Lauzon backed up Monday after an unrelated press conference at the Lionel Chevrier building.

"(Creating one country) is not what (SPP) is about," Lauzon said. "Let's say a pandemic of the flu breaks out. We can't have it getting across our borders. It's all about security and protecting the residents of all three countries. I don't think any of the leaders have anything but sovereignty on their minds at these meetings."

I'm asking The Bee to address the issue of the "Amero" and its part in the rapid devaluation of the U.S. dollar and in delaying response to securing the border. The "Amero" would be developed through the creation of the North American Union, which currently goes under the name
"The Security and Prosperity Partnership" consisting of Canada, Mexico and the United States. This idea was supposedly launched in March 2005.
The Mexican and Canadian economies rely, primarily, on the United States for trade and economic stability. They are, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, our top suppliers of oil. How will union with two nations, one morally bankrupt and each possessing poorly performing currencies, advance the United States? It probably won't.
Observers predict that this "union," or "partnership," will not only dissolve U.S. sovereignty but destroy our domestic shipping industries, redistribute our middle-class wealth and eliminate what we now consider border security. Will America be the next European Union?

Many have now heard rumblings of the “amero”, a proposed North American currency to replace the Canadian loonie, dollar and peso. However, most of the mentions of this concept, when discussed in the mainstream media tend to focus on suggesting that talk of an “amero”, and in effect, the accompanying North American Union, is nothing but a conspiracy theory created by deluded xenophobes afraid of immigration and globalization. The Boston Globe recently wrote such a story, titled, “The Amero Conspiracy”, which stated, “The SPP [Security and Prosperity Partnership] does exist, and its tri-national task forces continue to meet, but its members consider it a way for the United States, Canada, and Mexico to collaborate on issues such as customs, environmental and safety regulations, narcotics smuggling, and terrorism. The amero, on the other hand, appears to be purely theoretical.” However, despite being conveyed as “purely theoretical”, a recent article in the national Canadian newspaper, the Financial Post, referred to the amero, not as a theoretical idea or conspiracy theory, but as a potential reality. The article entitled, Fix the Loonie says out the process to be undertaken before the adoption of a continental currency known as the Amero. [...] So clearly, there is a move on toward a regional currency for North America, in conjunction with the formation of a North American Union. Monetary sovereignty, and especially the power to create and issue money, is perhaps more central to the idea of a free, democratic and sovereign nation than the right to vote. If we do not have the power over the issuance of money, it does not matter whom we vote for. It’s the Golden Rule: he who has the gold, makes the rules. We, as Canadians, and other peoples of their respective nations should never relinquish this sovereignty over to regional boards, private banks, or other unaccountable individuals. It is our right, not a privilege, and giving up such a right is akin to giving up the right to vote; it is anathema to democracy and a free society.

No, .5200 is a price objective referring to the US Dollar Index.

Question:
Would you comment on the possibility of a new North American currency that may someday become a reality and what it would do to the gold market as well as the US Dollar?

Answer:
That will not happen. Hypothetically if a new North American currency was created the dollar would no longer exist and gold in terms of the dollar would have risen to infinity.

Now, all of a sudden, due to skyrocketing gold prices caused by all the failed solutions to all the above-mentioned problems, and due to virtually nonexistent and/or unavailable central bank gold hoards, we are about to witness the purported sale of the IMF gold - AGAIN! Yes, the perpetual "IMF Gold Sales" are on once again, and nothing could be more bullish for gold! Talk about treating only the symptoms and not the underlying diseases!!! The last time the IMF did this was its 1978-1980 auctions of about 800 metric tonnes of gold, which coincided with the very sharpest part of the run-up in the greatest bull market for gold up to that point in time. We are torn between telling Congress (as gold bugs) to go for it and telling the Congress (as citizens) that if the IMF can't operate at a profit or at least break even, they do not deserve to be bailed out by use of our or any other country's gold reserves. NO MORE BAILOUTS!!! [...] The G-7's preliminary approval of this sale of 400 metric tonnes of gold, if implemented by US Congressional approval as required by law, will be just as ineffective as all the other moves of desperation enumerated above and will completely fail in its intended purpose - gold suppression. And make no mistake about it, that is what this move is all about. Note how the agreement is supposed to be finalized in April. Gee, isn't that the month where the most active gold futures are now placed, some 300,000+ of them, to form the latest mountain of shorts for the cartel? Hmm, isn't the peak of the gold season usually in the April to May time frame?

[Bilderberger-Darling] Sen. Hillary Clinton addressed a town hall meeting there and was taking questions from the audience. One elderly woman rose and was asking the Democratic candidate about a rumored economic union among the United States, Canada and Mexico that is widely discussed, feared and abhorred among conspiracy fanciers. The woman said the president planned to implement the secret agreement in 2010. Then the woman called the president "Bush the bastard." The Democratic crowd immediately roared its approval. Sen. Clinton nodded her head slightly and smiled. Then, she proceeded to answer the question, ~~[crying]~~ saying "there's not a lot of truth to it."
